The Future Farmers of America national convention is just around the corner – but there is hope FFA will drop its ban on Christians!
Despite a Liberty Counsel demand letter, the national Future Farmers of America (FFA) has thus far refused to end its blatant anti-Christian discrimination. It still won’t let the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International exhibit at its convention, which starts next Wednesday!
But we are in negotiations to stop this discrimination.
The FFA claims that its ban on Christian exhibitors is required by the First Amendment Establishment Clause. But that’s simply false.
As our demand letter to FFA stated, “The Establishment Clause prohibits government establishment of religion. It does not require removal of religious expression from public life.”
You’ve probably heard of or even been involved in the FFA yourself. Nearly 100 years old, it is an American institution. But in recent days the national FFA has gone woke and now parrots the talking points of the American Civil Liberties Union.
We think we know why . . . as we’ll explain below.
But first, please consider making a generous gift today to help Liberty Counsel win this fight for freedom.
Your gift right now of 15, 35, 60, 120 dollars, or more will help us win. Give today and a special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE the impact of your gift. Support Liberty Counsel today.
Because the FFA is a huge youth leadership organization with 1 million members, it casts a huge shadow over American culture. What it does sets a highly visible precedent other groups may follow to effectively ostracize Christians in American culture.
That’s why we’re working so hard to win this fight to uphold your religious liberty — and that of every other American. But we can’t do it without your help.
WHAT’S BEHIND FFA’s BAN ON CHRISTIAN EXHIBITORS?
So why would the FFA dig in its heels and stick to its ban on Christian exhibitors at next week's convention?
We learned earlier this week that Congress is looking into the influence that Syngenta, a Chinese Communist Party-controlled agribusiness has on the national FFA.
In a February letter to Future Farmers of America CEO Scott Stump, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, with others, expressed:
“serious concerns” that the Future Farmers of America was “working with our nation’s foreign adversaries and prioritizing woke policies over your mission.”
Chairman Smith’s letter detailed “FFA’s extensive ties to the CCP-controlled Syngenta Group, who pushed for the FFA to prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI),” reads a committee release.
In fact, FFA partnered with Syngenta in 2022 “to lay the foundation for a national equity, diversity and inclusion strategy.” FFA CEO Scott Stump called the partnership “part of a broader organizational transformation.”
But that “transformation” excludes Christian faith.
The FFA now prohibits prayer before meals at its events. Pre-meal “verbal reflections,” as it calls them, “are to be free of faith-based perspective, reference, or prayer.”
Freedom is on the line and time is short.
The FFA convention opens next Wednesday, and we’re doing everything possible to ensure that the FFA drops its discriminatory stance and welcomes the Fellowship of Christian Farmers International.
But I need your help. Will you make an extra-generous donation now to help Liberty Counsel wage this battle for religious freedom? Your support — DOUBLED by a special Challenge Grant — will make a real difference in this fight and many others!
Please help us defend FREEDOM! Support Liberty Counsel today.
INFECTED WITH DEI, INFLUENCED BY THE CCP
The FFA insists that its discrimination against Christians is a constitutional requirement. But that’s utterly false. As John Adams said . . .
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
It’s not the Constitution but DEI that is driving the FFA’s blatant hostility toward Christian expression.
And Syngenta, FFA’s partner in implementing DEI, is no friend of freedom. The America First Policy Institute reports that Syngenta “allegedly engages in systematic IP theft, data scraping, and Uyghur slave labor.”
Meanwhile, the Chinese Communist Party, which controls Syngenta, is no friend of freedom or faith. Instead, it ruthlessly suppresses Christianity. Global Christian Relief reports:
Christians [in China] are under surveillance like never before through their phones, and their attitudes and actions are fed into a social credit system that ranks loyalty to the ruling regime.
So why is FFA partnering with a CCP-controlled business to implement DEI and suppress Christian faith by, among other things, excluding Christian exhibitors at its huge national convention?
Liberty Counsel is taking on the nation’s oldest and largest youth leadership and ag education organization. One infected with woke ideology and dangerously close to the Chinese Communist Party.
But time is short because the National FFA Convention & Expo opens next week.
