Through intimidation and misinformation, pastors and church leaders have been silenced on moral and political issues. Liberty Counsel is empowering them to exchange their muzzles for megaphones. In 2014, we distributed our “Silence is Not an Option” DVD and book to tens of thousands of churches to educate pastors and leaders on their right and duty to speak biblical truth.

This year we filed a brief with the Supreme Court to defend the rights of a church to advertise or display religious messages like other entities can advertise or display secular messages.

Liberty Counsel is involved in significant initiatives that empower pastors and other faith leaders. Various anti-God forces (organizations and even government officials) are targeting them more than ever before. Perhaps your pastor or congregation will be the next target. We stand ready to help, as we have many times for others this year:

• Defended the First Amendment rights of a Pueblo, Colorado, citizen who regularly engages in evangelism;
• Won a federal lawsuit on behalf of high school students with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Florida through which the club will now have equal access to meet on campus;
• Filed a brief at the U.S. Supreme Court in Town of Greece v. Galloway, wherein the Court issued a significant opinion upholding prayer at city or town meetings;
• Continued to represent and advocate for a Massachusetts pastor sued for international crimes against humanity solely because he shared his Christian viewpoint in Uganda;

This year, we resolved many cases involving Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in multiple states where school districts formerly discriminated against their Good News Clubs in terms of use of the facilities, time of use, fees, and announcements or advertisements. Now scores of children will be able to hear the Good News in public schools in which they couldn’t before our interventions.

In 2015 we will continue to advance the rights of equal access for after-school Bible clubs in public schools. We often receive reports about the expansion of these clubs and of children growing in their faith as a result.
