Could 2012 Make or Break Our Nation?

At the end of each year, we examine what we’ve accomplished and make plans for the future. We knew that this year would be extremely demanding, and we were right! We are grateful for the significant work that the Lord has given us to do in 2011. Here are just a few of the highlights of our pro-family efforts:

  • We filed suit at the New York Supreme Court against a new same-sex marriage law in response to the legislature’s flagrant violations of the State’s constitutional and legal procedures that dramatically infringed upon the rights of the people of New York. If this case is successful, it will overturn the same-sex marriage law.
  • Since the military started allowing open homosexuals to serve, a new host of challenges are facing those who want to serve our nation. One recruit was rejected for service for politely asking about close-quarter arrangements with those who are open about their same-sex attractions. We worked on his behalf to overcome the rejection and complete his enlistment.
  • We successfully represented a teacher, Jerry Buell, who was suspended for expressing disapproval of same-sex marriage on his personal Facebook page. Jerry was reinstated and returned back to his classroom.
  • We filed numerous amicus briefs including one in a case that protected a biological mother from losing custody to a previous same-sex partner in Ohio. Another brief supported the federal Defense of Marriage Act that defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman, a law that President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder refused to defend. Filed briefs before the Supreme Court to uphold parental rights and to defend broadcast decency laws.

During these battles, we were blessed with help from many of our Liberty Counsel online friends. We need your help again at this critical time.

Every day of 2012, we must relentlessly focus on our mission to restore the culture by advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life and the family. We all know there are others in America working to undermine our mission.

There is a radical movement to remake our land into a weak, socialist, big-government, anti-liberty, anti-life, anti-family, nation that rejects its Judeo-Christian heritage.

We cannot tolerate a regime that undermines life, family, and faith, nor do we want to leave that cruel legacy for generations to come. One vision of America will win and one will lose. There is no middle ground in the culture war.

Will you prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible year end gift to help us continue the fight into 2012?

Liberty Counsel's litigation team is managing a growing caseload – in addition to confronting the radical push from inside our own national government. We have proven that we can win these battles when we show up. But in order to show up and win, we need your help.

Quite honestly, as a result of our intense activity in 2011, both our legal staff and our budget are stretched well beyond what we could have anticipated.

Will you prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible gift right now so our team can continue to fight against the anti-family forces, anti-faith initiatives, and the attacks of the ACLU and other radical groups?

We have prepared a special Year-end Partners’ Report that gives a brief synopsis of Liberty Counsel’s many achievements during the past year.

Read this special report and then consider making a significant gift to Liberty Counsel before the end of 2011 so that we can close out the year on sound financial footing and prepare for the crucial battles ahead.

We depend on friends who give $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or more – whatever the Lord leads. Every gift is deeply appreciated. No gift is too small.

Thank you for being part of the miracle God is accomplishing in the lives of those we are able to help every day.
