Yesterday a federal court approved a settlement of a lawsuit filed in January by Liberty Counsel on behalf of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Georgia (CEF) against the Cobb County School District, which had a discriminatory policy denying equal access to religious groups.

With a court hearing soon approaching, the District settled the case by agreeing to repay CEF the overcharged fees collected for use of school facilities, pay attorney’s fees and costs, and grant CEF equal access to facilities as is granted to similar organizations.

We are grateful for this important victory that will allow more children to participate in CEF's after-school Good News Clubs in Georgia. Call us for information about starting a Good News Club in your area.
