Dr. Paul Church, a highly credentialed doctor, has released this statement to the press and public after the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) revoked his hospital admission privileges, and its Board of Directors rejected his appeal of this decision. Dr. Church raised concerns for medical reasons to BIDMC’s annual promotion of homosexual conduct. A member of Harvard’s Medical Staff, Dr. Church has worked at BIDMC for 28 years.

Medical healthcare providers should not hide the dangers of same-sex sexual conduct. Silencing the truth does not change the facts that same-sex conduct is harmful. Anyone who cares about people, like Dr. Church, would publicize the known risks of homosexual activity. By attacking a messenger of truth, homosexual activists expose that they care more about their own political goals and personal feelings than they care about the well-being of people.

Dr. Church’s situation illustrates the deep and growing intolerance of homosexual activists to hear the truth. Now, even a medical expert, speaking medical facts, citing the Centers for Disease Control’s own body of research, is subject to attack, silencing, and removal from his position.
