Liberty Counsel’s Mathew Staver will be joined by leading American historian David Barton for a one-night event called South Carolina Awake! on Jan. 21, 2011. It will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST at the Seneca Baptist Church in Seneca, SC. The event is free and open to the public and the media, but tickets are required and can be obtained at www.LC.org under the Events link. Past events have had standing-room only crowds.

David Barton will educate and inspire attendees about the Founding Era and America’s rich Godly heritage. Mat Staver will follow Barton’s presentation with a stirring message entitled, “Take Back America,” in which he will talk about the challenges and opportunities we have to preserve the legacy of liberty.

Liberty Counsel will also participate with many other organizations in the Freedom Federation’s annual event called The Awakening: Raising Our Voices – Equipping and Empowering a New Revolution, to be held on April 8-9, 2011 at Liberty University. Last year more that 27,000 people attended either on site or by live video conferencing.
