Liberty Counsel Presents Oral Argument for Personhood in Mississippi Supreme Court

Today Liberty Counsel is presenting oral argument at the Mississippi Supreme Court, defending Personhood Mississippi and Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann against a lawsuit filed by the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and the Center for Reproductive Rights.

These groups are trying to keep Initiative 26 off the November 2011 ballot, which will include “unborn” in the definition of “Person” in the state constitution. This lawsuit is proceeding even though the ballot initiative received more than 100,000 registered voters willing to support life, which is more than enough of the necessary signatures.

With the support of Liberty Counsel and many citizens across the state, Mississippi will hopefully have the opportunity to be the first state to recognize the rights of pre-born children. The Declaration of Independence declares that we are endowed with the unalienable right to life. That right extends to all humans, including the most vulnerable among us. We must restore the right of all rights for all of us, including the unborn.

Take Back America

This revised edition (2011) by Mat Staver lays out the clear biblical and historical basis for bringing America back to her roots.

"God is the foundation of good government and national prosperity...America is broken...Something must be done. America doesn't need another program. Money won't fix our problems. Articulate politicians will not save us. We need God in America again."
