Today teens from across the country are gathered for TeenPact Judicial, a weeklong combination of training and competition for aspiring lawyers hosted by Liberty University School of Law, in conjunction with lawyers from Liberty Counsel.
TeenPact Judicial is an intense program, which instructs highly motivated and intelligent teenage students interested in the study of law. Topics studied will include Foundations of Law, Property, Contracts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Torts, Criminal Law, and Written and Oral Advocacy.
Near the end of the week, students will complete moot court competitions, with the final round conducted before a panel of judges in the law school’s Supreme Courtroom, which contains the nation’s only replica of the U.S. Supreme Court nine-member bench.
Students who attend will also have the opportunity to earn “The New Generation TeenPact Scholarship” to Liberty University School of Law, awarded to students who have excelled in the program as well as completed full admission standards to the university.
It is Liberty Counsel’s goal to train a new generation of leaders in the rule of law from a Christian perspective to use law as a fulcrum for good. The students who are trained at TeenPact Judicial are energetic, bright, and eager to become world changers. The enthusiasm of these young leaders is exhilarating and contagious.
