Mathew D. Staver is scheduled to appear on "America's Newsroom" on the Fox News Channel tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. ET. The topic is the outrageous program at Boston Children's Hospital, which gives drugs to delay the onset of puberty in children who are identified as "transgendered" by themselves or their parents. The drugs carry the risk of permanent sterility.

The hospital claims that delaying puberty makes it easier for the children to undergo "transgender" surgery later. It is unimaginable that doctors want to subject little children to such a harmful and barbaric practice.

"Gender identity disorder" (thinking you should be the opposite of your biological sex) is a psychological disorder that is recognized as such by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. It is not a disorder of the body.

Using medicine to try and change a boy's body into a girl's body just because the boy thinks he should be a girl is unthinkable. It is as illogical as treating an anorexic with liposuction.
