The radical group called Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD) has filed suit in the Federal District Court in Boston on behalf of several same-sex couples, claiming the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional. The suit challenges only that portion of the federal DOMA that prevents the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriage through the provision of federal benefits, including Social Security, filing joint tax returns, federal employee and pension benefits, and the issuance of passports.
President Barack Obama has pledged to work to repeal DOMA. Those tasked with defending this lawsuit will be the new Attorney General, Erik Holder, and the Department of Justice.
Liberty Counsel will be filing a brief in defense of the federal DOMA. Liberty Counsel has successfully defended DOMA and has also successfully defended traditional marriage in over 40 cases.

"Trans Action Day" Shows Future of the Radical "Gay" Agenda
Same-sex marriage and benefits are not the final goal of radical groups like GLAD. Last week, another radical pro-homosexual group, GLSEN, sponsored "Trans Action Day" to promote transexual issues and promote (through a resource guide and lesson plans) this issue to Gay-Straight Alliance clubs in public schools.
GLSEN encourages the use of new terminology, including the pronoun "zie" for he/she and "hir" for him/her." "Genderism" is defined as a "systematic belief that people need to conform to the gender assigned at birth in a gender-binary system. Related to sexism, genderism is a form of institutionalized discrimination as well as individually demonstrated prejudice."
Examples of so-called "genderism" include male-female restrooms, putting your birth-assigned sex on your drivers' license and passport, using words such as brother/sister instead of sibling, son/daughter instead of child, mother/father instead of parent, and wife/husband or boyfriend/girlfriend instead of spouse or significant other.
If you are a parent, grandparent or other concerned citizen, you need to learn about these issues and then get personally involved in your local schools and communities. Help us counteract the agenda of these radical groups!
