U.S. Taxpayers Fund President's Appearance at Fundraiser for Radical Lobbying Group

President Barack Obama is scheduled to speak Saturday night at a fundraising event for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a far-left lobbying group that promotes forcing Americans to accept and applaud homosexual behavior.

The group regularly lobbies to force Americans to affirm homosexuality and targets youth with weekly "Queerly Speaking" YouTube videos to advance its agenda.

Obama's appearance at the fundraiser raises questions about the propriety of a President speaking at such an event, when taxpayers must pay the cost for his travel and security. The President's speech appears to be a payback for HRC's endorsement of his candidacy.

In order to carry out Obama's pro-homosexual agenda, the administration is busy filling federal agencies with individuals who will fulfill the President's desire to promote the HRC agenda. Agencies are actively recruiting for positions dedicated to promoting homosexuality in federal agencies. One such position was announced in an advertisement by the USDA's National Resources Conservation Service for a "National Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Special Emphasis Program Manager."

Obama will be known as President of the Divided States, because he has taken a radical stance in the culture war. He is on the wrong side of life, morality, and liberty. Although Obama was recently given the Nobel Peace Prize, he has done nothing to advance peace in this Nation or abroad. When abroad, he apologizes for America and is embarrassed by American exceptionalism. Domestically, Obama promotes a culture war. He is not the symbol of peace.

"Hate Crimes" Provision Passes In Defense Spending Bill

A provision to increase punishment for so-called "hate crimes" based on "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" passed the House yesterday by a 281 to 146 vote. Congressman Randy Forbes (VA) vigorously attempted to get the provision removed from an unrelated defense funding bill. He issued a statement against the hate crimes provision earlier this week.

The hate-crimes provision was attached to a $680 billion Defense Department authorization bill, because the provision could not have passed on its own. The bill must pass the Senate in a vote that could come next week.

Hate crimes laws treat some victims differently than others. Such laws are actually "thought crimes" laws that violate the right to freedom of speech and of conscience and have a chilling effect on people with moral or religious objections to homosexual behavior. Evidence of a person's beliefs will be used against any individuals who are even suspected of criminal activity.

You can contact your Senators about the upcoming vote and let them know that you are displeased that hate crimes is attached to the bill that provides funding for American troops.
