This week, while reiterating the United States' commitment to defend Israel, President Barack Obama told Israeli university students that Israeli occupation of Palestine must end and progress toward creating a Palestinian state must begin. The Palestinians want a state in the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem, territories Israel won in the 1967 war.

"Just as Israelis built a state in their homeland, Palestinians have a right to be a free people in their own land," Obama told the students. The President tried to appeal to the students by focusing on innocent children rather than the militant terrorists that surround their borders: "It is not fair that a Palestinian child cannot grow up in a state of her own, living their entire lives with the presence of a foreign army that controls the movements."

It has never been more important to stand for Israel! The Bible promises to bless those who bless Israel. I want to be counted among those who do – and I desire for our nation to be counted among the true friends of Israel until the Lord returns. Now more than ever, we, as pro-Israel Americans, must remain faithful and we must stand with Israel!
