When Dr. Jerry Falwell founded Liberty University in 1971, he envisioned a world-class law school. In the mid-1990s, when God inspired my dream of a Christian law school, I shared it with Dr. Falwell over the course of several years. Our dreams became a reality with the opening of Liberty University School of Law in the fall of 2004 and its accreditation on February 13, 2006. Liberty is a distinctly Christian law school with an expressed mission to equip future leaders with a superior legal education in fidelity to the Christian faith expressed through the Holy Scriptures.

In order to maximize our ability to train a new generation, Liberty Counsel opened a litigation and training office last year one floor above the law school. Our internship program will balloon in the summer. This program enables law school students from Liberty University and other law schools, as well as international, college and high school students, to work directly with our legal staff. Our clerkship program runs year-round and provides paid positions for those interns who excel.
