Court of Appeals Orders Dismissal of Pending Appeals Against Governor in Kim Davis Case

LOUISVILLE, KY – Following Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin's signing of a bill that now provides accommodation to clerks who have religious objections to having their name and authority on marriage licenses for same-sex couples, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered dismissal of the pending appeals against the Governor in Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis’ case.
